Beijing Institute of Technology has six distinct campuses within China to include: Zhongguancun, Liangxiag, Xishan, Fangshan, Qinhuangdao, and Zhuhai. Zhongguancun is the primary campus of Beijing Institute of Technology and is located in the area Northwest of Beijing known as the “Silicon Valley of China.” Liangxiang Campus is primarily the home to the younger Undergraduate students within Beijing Institute of Technology. Fangshan campus is located in a Southwestern suburb of Beijing and hosts Undergraduate coursework as well. The Qinhuangdao, Hebi campus was founded for a one-year pre-university program for ethnic minority students whose first language is not Mandarin. This program serves to jumpstart these minority students to other prominent universities such as: Beihang University Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Northwestern Polytechnical University. The Zhuhai, Guangdong campus provides continuing education, graduate courses, and distance learning courses.

International Student Dormitory in Liang Xiang Campus is available for all the students (except language students) and is around 35 kilometers away from the main Zhong Guan Cun Campus. It takes one hour or more to travel between the main campus in the downtown and Liang Xiang Campus. Students can take metro or BIT shuttle bus every day.
